Behavioral Health Center Location

The three-story Behavioral Health Center will be located on the OU Health campus. The Behavioral Health Center will be built atop a new four-story parking garage and will attach to Garrison Tower providing easy access to Ronald McDonald House and Oklahoma Children’s Hospital via skybridge. Direct access to the hospital will allow access to our pediatricians and pediatric hospitalists, enabling the Center to accept patients with complex chronic medical issues who would otherwise be denied the psychiatric care they need.

Behavioral Health Center Facility Features

Two floors of the Behavioral Health Center will be dedicated to inpatient services, adding 72 beds for both short-term stabilization and long-term care. All rooms will provide parents the ability to stay in the room with their child as they receive care and treatment for behavioral health – a patient and family-centered option not available anywhere else in our state.

Each area is strategically designed to improve comfort, convenience, and safety for our patients, families and staff. Facility features will include:

  • Intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization for ongoing therapies and resources
  • Neurodevelopmental unit for patients with autism and intellectual developmental differences
  • Two-story gymnasium with direct access to outdoor space, multiple distinct outdoor respite and garden spaces, conference areas, and family resource spaces
  • Full-service dining and outdoor seating on each floor
All patient populations as well as families and staff will have access to their own designated green spaces, further enhancing the destigmatizing and healing environment.
