Do I need a COVID vaccination to be able to volunteer?
- Yes. At this time proof of COVID vaccination is a requirement for all volunteers
at Oklahoma Children’s Hospital.

What if I cannot find my immunizations that are required to volunteer?
- You may contact your primary care physician or the health department to
look up your records. If you are missing a required immunization our Employee
Health team can administer one for you.

Can I complete court ordered community service at Oklahoma Children’s Hospital?
- No. We do not accept court ordered community service.

What is the time commitment to volunteer?
- We require a commitment of one, 3 hour shift a week for 6 months.

What kinds of training will I receive before volunteering?
- Volunteers will go through hospital/general volunteer orientation, position
specific training and a minimum of two shadowing sessions before volunteering
on their own.

What costs are associated with volunteering?
- Our team covers the cost of onboarding for each volunteer. The only cost
to our volunteers is the one-time purchase of your required purple volunteer
shirt for $25.

Will I be able to shadow any nurses/physician or clinical hours for my
volunteer shift?
- No. Volunteers will serve to meet the non-clinical needs of our patients
and families.
