About Arpan Sinha
Arpan A. Sinha, MD is a pediatric hematologist-oncologist with the Jimmy Everest Center at Oklahoma Children's Hospital OU Health in Oklahoma City.
Dr. Sinha graduated from Grant Medical College, Mumbai, India in 2009. She completed her training in Pediatrics at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York where she was also a chief resident. She then completed her fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore in the Bronx, New York.
In 2017, she joined the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center as a pediatric hematologist/oncologist. Dr. Sinha is the Director of the Comprehensive Pediatric Sickle Cell Program. Her clinical and research interests include benign and malignant hematology with special focus on Sickle Cell Disease and childhood Leukemia. Her basic science research focusses on learning more about childhood leukemias - for which she has previously received funding through the St. Baldrick’s Foundation and currently has research support through Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology (OCAST) and Presbyterian Health Foundation (PHF) awards. The pediatric Sickle Cell Program is supported by funding through the Oklahoma state DOH, Oklahoma State DHS and HRSA subaward through Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri as part of the Heartland Southwest Sickle Cell Disease Network.
Dr. Sinha is passionate about improving sickle cell care in Oklahoma and participates in various educational, research and advocacy efforts. She also has a strong interest in teaching and is the Associate Program Director for the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Program. Dr. Sinha is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
