At OU Health, we're committed to supporting and empowering employees throughout their career journey. Our initiatives, such as Rise (a comprehensive 365-day onboarding model), Leadership Academies, and GrowU, are designed to equip employees with the capabilities and skills needed to excel in their roles and contribute to the organization's success.

OU Health Rise

Rise is an employee onboarding experience that Empowers, Engages and Elevates new hires and new leaders. From day 1, employees are provided with resources and connections that help them excel in their careers.

Empower

  • Equips team members with clear foundations and expectations to put patients first, serve our purpose, and live into the OU Health Way.
  • Participation Date: Day 1
  • Enrollment Process: New Hires will receive a communication before their start date regarding Empower.
  • Audience:
    • Full day required for OU Health Team Members in part-time, full-time and PRN positions working all shift types, schedules and in all locations.
    • Morning required for Contingent team members.
    • Morning recommended for:
      • Physicians
      • Students (based on preceptor preference)

Engage

  • Positions team members' to be actively engaged in our health system, share their voice and belonging strategies to drive retention and promote ongoing conversation about areas of opportunity.
  • Participation Date: Enroll in an in-person course between Day 70 - Day 110.
  • Enrollment Process: New Hires will be assigned to a course in HealthStream, they will enroll in an in-person session date.
  • Audience:
    • Full day required for OU Health Team Members in part-time, full-time and PRN positions working all shift types, schedules and in all locations.
    • Not recommended for:
      • Contingent Workers
      • Physicians and Executives
      • Students

Elevate

  • Supports team members career growth; facilitates high performance, organizational effectiveness and employee engagement across the health system.
  • Participation Date: Enroll in an in-person course between Day 14 - 60 from their position start date.
  • Enrollment Process: New Hires will be assigned to a course in HealthStream, they will enroll in an in-person session date.
  • Audience:
    • Required for new-to-system and newly promoted leaders in supervisor roles (Excludes executives and Physicians)
    • Current leaders with less than 365 days in a supervisor role will be required to attend (HealthStream assigned)

Degree Accelerator Program (DAP)

OU Health and the Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences are advancing healthcare by establishing seamless academic progression pathways for OU Health nurses. By completing a program through the Degree Accelerator Program, working RNs at OU Health can advance their education and career with financial support from OU Health.

Guild Education

The Guild Education learning platform provides diverse educational programs that will motivate you to enhance your professional development and reach your career aspirations by providing tailored learning paths, flexible scheduling, support and guidance. Guild offers access to employer-sponsored tuition.
