Guidelines for Sedation and Analgesia by Non-Anesthesiologists

In OU Health's attempt to come into full compliance with JCAHO and with the ASA practice guidelines for Sedation and Analgesia by Non-Anesthesiologists, we are now ready to go live with our program.

If you would like to continue your current priviledges to administer sedation and analgesia, you must pass this ASA Exam on Sedation and Analgesia with a score of 85%. Before taking the test you must read the "ASA Practice Guidelines for Sedation and Analgesia by Non-Anesthesiologists" and view the 20-minute ASA video. After successfully passing this test you will be given a certificate of completion with instructions to printout and mail to the Medical Staff Credentialing Services office.

Thank you for your cooperation as we attempt to improve patient safety in our hospital.
