About Nilesh Vasan
Nilesh Vasan, MD, FRACS is a board-certified otolaryngologist at OU Health with fellowship training in head and neck cancer surgery. Dr. Vasan practices at OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center where he takes care of patients with cancers of the skin, mouth, nose, throat, thyroid and salivary glands.
Dr. Vasan earned his medical degree from the University of Otago Medical School in Dunedin, New Zealand. He completed residency training in otolaryngology at Waikato Hospital in Hamilton, New Zealand and a fellowship in head and neck cancer surgery at Green Lane Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand. He went on to complete an additional fellowship in head and neck cancer surgery at the OU College of Medicine in Oklahoma City.
He serves as the residency program director for the Department of Otolaryngology. In addition, Dr. Vasan has authored numerous papers and book chapters in the field of head and neck surgery.
Dr. Vasan was born and raised in New Zealand and is a member of The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
