About Mason Webb
Mason Webb, M.D, Ph.D, is a physician specializing in hematology and oncology with a clinical focus in neuro-oncology. He is an assistant professor dually employed at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and OU Health. His clinical practice centers on the care of patients with primary and metastatic malignancies of the central nervous system, including high-grade gliomas and other rare neuro-oncologic conditions. He is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology.
Dr. Webb earned his bachelor’s degree in genetics from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. He earned his doctorate of medicine and doctorate of philosophy in biochemistry and cancer biology from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. He completed residency training in internal medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, followed by fellowship training in hematology and oncology at the Mayo Clinic, where he participated in the Clinician Investigator Track.
In addition to his clinical role, Dr. Webb serves as an assistant professor and principal investigator with dedicated time for translational and clinical research. His academic work focuses on the development of novel therapies and clinical trials for neuro-oncology patients, including investigational oncolytic viral and immunotherapy approaches. He is a member of multiple national professional societies and is actively involved in research mentorship and multidisciplinary collaboration.
