About Lauren Secrist

Lauren Secrist, APRN-CNP, is a nurse practitioner at Oklahoma Children's OU Health, providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care with a strong emphasis on holistic, patient-centered treatment. She is committed to improving mental health outcomes through advocacy, interdisciplinary collaboration and culturally responsive care.

Lauren earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Oklahoma. She also completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Oklahoma. Throughout her academic training, she was recognized for academic excellence as an honor roll and merit scholarship recipient.

Lauren has demonstrated strong leadership and advocacy within the nursing profession. She was named an Outstanding Leadership Member in the Class of 2025 and participated in leadership development initiatives focused on strengthening community, campus and national partnerships.

Additionally, Lauren completed the Oklahoma Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (OKLEND) program as a nursing advocate, deepening her understanding of the needs of individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities and reinforcing her commitment to inclusive, person-centered care. Lauren brings a thoughtful, innovative approach to psychiatric care and is dedicated to advancing mental health equity, patient advocacy and clinical excellence.
