I and my husband were both very impressed by Dr. Shakir. He was personable, knowledgeable and kind. He truly seemed to care, took time to listen and answer any questions we had and he even humored my mom's "mother bear" reaction. He explained things very simple without making you feel like you were dumb or being talked down to. He also saw something during the exam that I wonder if every physician would have taken the time to notice. Truly appreciate him and his "bedside manner". I would be happy to recommend him and his staff to anyone!

Showed images of hardware in neck out of place & discussed need to have better glucose control before attempting any surgery. Referred to endocrinologist and new imaging ordered. Dr Shakir was able to give some hope that pain relief could be achieved.
