About Cindrel Tharumia Jagadeesan

Dr. Cindrel Tharumia Jagadeesan, M.D., MPH is a pulmonary and critical care physician and Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Section of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. Her clinical work spans inpatient and intensive care settings, and her scholarly output reflects experience across pleural disease, complex airway management, interstitial lung disease, and thoracic oncology.

She earned her Doctor of Medicine and completed residency training in internal medicine at Creighton University School of Medicine, where she served as chief resident. She then completed fellowship training in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She also earned a Master of Public Health in epidemiology and biostatistics from Boston University School of Public Health.

As an assistant professor, she remains active in research and education, with peer‑reviewed publications and national presentations in interventional pulmonology, pleural disease, systemic sclerosis–related interstitial lung disease, and infectious disease epidemiology. She is a member of the American Thoracic Society and previously held leadership roles as vice president of the House Staff Leadership Council at Creighton University and secretary of the student senate at Boston University School of Public Health. Her recent work includes a fellowship SEed grant on sarcoidosis in veterans and participation in the Oklahoma Shared Clinical and Translational Research TPIR Trainee Program.
