About Cindrel Tharumia Jagadeesan

Dr. Cindrel Tharumia Jagadeesan, M.D., MPH is a pulmonary and critical care physician and Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Section of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. Her clinical work spans inpatient pulmonary consultation and intensive care medicine, with a primary focus on interstitial lung disease (ILD) and pulmonary fibrosis. She also leads and participates in research and clinical trials in these same areas. She does not perform interventional pulmonary procedures.

She earned her Doctor of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency at Creighton University School of Medicine, where she served as chief resident. She subsequently completed fellowship training in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Dr. Jagadeesan also holds a Master of Public Health in epidemiology and biostatistics from Boston University School of Public Health.

As an assistant professor, Dr. Jagadeesan remains active in research and education, with peer‑reviewed publications and national presentations spanning pleural disease, systemic‑sclerosis–associated interstitial lung disease, infectious disease epidemiology, and thoracic oncology. She is a member of the American Thoracic Society and has held leadership roles including vice president of the House Staff Leadership Council at Creighton University and secretary of the student senate at Boston University School of Public Health.

Her recent scholarly work includes investigating sarcoidosis in veterans through a fellowship SEED grant and participation in the Oklahoma Shared Clinical and Translational Research TPIR Trainee Program.
