About Alexandra Ikeguchi
Alexandra Ikeguchi, MD joined the section of hematology/oncology at the Stephenson Cancer Center in 2010 and is an assistant professor of medicine. Dr. Ikeguchi directs and develops curriculum for the rare tumor clinical rotation attended by the hematology/oncology fellows. She also serves on the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee at OU Medical Center.
Dr. Ikeguchi’s primary research focus is melanoma, and she is also involved in research on targeted therapy and immuno-oncology. She serves as the principle investigator on multiple clinical trials being conducted at the Stephenson Cancer Center. She is also a member of the Southwest Oncology Group, a research cooperative that is part of the National Cancer Institute’s National Clinical Trials Network.
She completed her residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City. She is board certified in hematology and clinical oncology.
