About This Event

  • Event Type:Educational Group
Details:

Join a panel of OU Health’s multidisciplinary experts for a virtual “Doc Talk” to learn more about ongoing spina bifida care. About half of people living with Spina Bifida in the United States are adults and the transition from adolescence to adulthood can be a time of growth and success, as well as difficulty. Attendees will be able to engage in a Q&A with physicians who are part of OU Health’s collaborative adult spina bifida team — names listed below.

OU Health’s comprehensive, multidisciplinary care clinic for adults with spina bifida offers a one-stop shop for patients who previously had to visit multiple providers in different locations, at different times — the first of its kind in the state. Our multidisciplinary team helps adults manage symptoms associated with spina bifida and collaborates on individualized treatment plans, aimed at helping our patients achieve their best quality of life. This collaborative team includes experts in the field of pediatric neurosurgery, adult urology, primary care, physical therapy and physiatry.
