Oklahoma’s Only Diabetes Care Summit Open for Registration

Co-sponsored by the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists (ADCES), the Diabetes Care Summit will include keynote speakers Satish Kumar, M.D., MRCP; Diana Isaacs, PharmD, BCPS, BCACP, CDCES, BC-ADM, FADCES, FCCP; and Kathy Dowd, AuD, MEd. Presentations include Treatment of Diabetic Chronic Kidney Disease, Cutting-Edge Developments in Diabetes Tech, and Hearing and Balance in Diabetes Care. Break-out sessions from diabetes experts will cover subjects including Obesity Management, Food & Exercise as Medicine, and more.

Diabetes self-management training and education is an integral part of managing the disease and with the high rates of diabetes in Oklahoma, it is crucial for doctors to stay up to date with the latest diabetes information and research. The mission of Harold Hamm Diabetes Center is to improve patient outcomes and reduce the burden of diabetes in Oklahoma and the nation through cutting-edge research and education.

The Diabetes Care Summit offers early-bird registration rates to those who register before Friday, August 18. Breakfast and a buffet lunch are included in the registration and Continuing Education Credit is being offered. The event will be held at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center, 741 N. Phillips Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73104.
