It was a challenge sometimes. Throughout treatment, I would have side effects arise. I would bring these up in appointments. I was told that I needed to go to my primary care physician for that. The problem is that my primary care doctor had no idea what treatment I was getting at the cancer center. It's hard for a doctor to adequately treat you when they lack that information. The cancer center needs a doctor who is not an oncologist who can help with those issues and can see the treatment I'm getting.
