Frontiers in Translational Cancer Research

Frontiers in Translational Cancer Research is a transdisciplinary educational seminar series that features topics spanning from the basic to clinical sciences for residents, fellows, graduate students, post-doctoral research scientists and faculty. It provides interactive discussion about recent developments in translational cancer research and encompasses a broad array of approaches within the area of translational cancer research. The seminar is presented in a lecture/discussion format, and students are expected to participate actively in the discussion.

Recent topics include:

  • Stem cells in development and diseases
  • Cancer and aging
  • Trending concepts in tumor metabolism
  • Platelets in neurological diseases
  • DNA damage response and cancer therapy
  • Community-based translational research
  • Developing drugs for FDA approval

Meeting Location: Stephenson Cancer Center #5058, Fifth Floor Conference Room
Meeting Time: 3:00 – 4:00 PM, Second Friday of the month
