About Stephen Tinker

Stephen E. Tinker, MD, is an internal medicine physician with OU Health in Oklahoma City. He completed residency training in internal medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. His main areas of practice include general internal medicine and primary care for adults.

Dr. Tinker earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City, OK. He completed his undergraduate studies at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK, graduating summa cum laude with a major in physiology. His postgraduate training took place in Oklahoma City, where he completed both his family medicine internship and internal medicine residency. 

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Tinker has participated in research related to healthcare costs and has presented at national medical conferences. Dr. Tinker is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society, and is active in community service, volunteering with organizations such as WATERisLIFE in Kenya, Maisha Project, and Global Medical Brigades in Honduras.
