About Shawna Standiford

Shawna Standiford, LPC, serves as Director of the Selective Mutism (SM) Program at OU Health. She leads the only program in Oklahoma dedicated to evidence-based treatment for children ages 3–18 with selective mutism, including Parent-Child Interaction Therapy for Selective Mutism (PCIT-SM).

In her role, Standiford oversees program development and expansion, including the creation of resources to support both individual and group therapy. She conducts clinical intake interviews, comprehensive assessments, and provides diagnostic feedback and formal reports to families. She also supervises clinical staff and practicum students, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.
