About Muhammad Panezai

Muhammad Ajmal Khan Panezai is a board-certified Transplant Nephrologist currently serving at the OU Health Transplant Institute. He holds board certifications from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) in Internal Medicine and Nephrology, as well as the American Hypertension Specialist Certification. In 2024, he completed a Certification in Physician Leadership from the American College of Physicians (ACP) and the American Association for Physician Leadership (AAPL).

Dr. Panezai's advanced training includes a Transplant Nephrology Fellowship at Indiana University School of Medicine, a Nephrology Fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX, and an Internal Medicine Residency at Interfaith Medical Center. His professional experience encompasses roles as a Transplant Nephrologist at NZTI Transplant Institute, Nephrologist at Oklahoma City VA Health Care System, and Hospitalist at Integris Baptist Medical Center.
