About Megan Shepherd
Dr. Megan Shepherd, M.D., is a bariatric and foregut surgeon with clinical expertise in minimally invasive and robotic surgery. Her main practice areas include the surgical management of obesity and foregut disorders, with a strong focus on advanced laparoscopic techniques and patient-centered care. Dr. Shepherd is recognized for her research and presentations on topics such as robotic sleeve gastrectomy, diaphragmatic hernia repair, and the management of complex surgical cases.
She earned her doctorate of medicine from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Dr. Shepherd completed her residency training at the University of Tennessee Medical Center at Knoxville and pursued fellowship training in bariatric and foregut surgery at Menorah Medical Center in Kansas City. Her undergraduate studies were completed at Wichita State University and Friends University.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Shepherd serves as an associate professor.
