About Laura Shamblin
Laura Shamblin, M.D., is a Board Certified Pediatrician from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She has a background in providing primary care for children with special needs, both inpatient and outpatient. She is currently a fellowship-trained pediatric specialist at the Oklahoma Children's Hospital OU Health, specializing in Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Shamblin spends much of her time caring for her four children, one of whom was adopted at the age of 4 from China. Through the experience of international adoption, the science of trauma became foremost in her mind, and she desires to provide that information to all who work with children and have a desire to mitigate the effects of trauma.
