Dr. Davey left me feeling as though my sons very apparent change in gait was simply a sign of his low muscle tone with Down syndrome. I have video proof on the significant change in my sons walk. I was not heard while advocating for my son. Because the x-ray didn't show anything significant with the bone there was no interest in trying to assess whether or not there was any additional damage to ligaments or tendons. My son has autism on top of down syndrome and does not like laying down on his back, and Dr. Davey gave up on finishing a full evaluation. He simply commented "you have your hands full". I plan on getting a second opinion somewhere else where I feel like we will be heard, my son will be fully examined and The physician will give enough interest to try and determine what is wrong with my non-verbal son. He could not even give me suggestions on what PT could do to help. He simply mentioned we try putting him in a tricycle which he does every day during the week at Little light House in Tulsa. Oh, did I mention we drove two hours from Tulsa for this appointment? Not only was my time wasted, but the bedside manner that was used was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. There were multiple comments made about my son that were unacceptable. The only positive was the medical assistant that works for him. He was extremely patient and kind. Really disappointed in the level of care provide provided by Dr. Davey.
