About Jess Schwartz

Jess D. Schwartz, M.D., FACS, FCCP is a board-certified thoracic surgeon with extensive specialty training in minimally invasive techniques including robotic and video-assisted thoracic surgery. He has a special interest in thoracic malignancies and specializes in treating patients with lung cancer, esophageal cancer, mediastinal malignancies including thymoma and chest wall tumors.

Dr. Schwartz earned a doctor of medicine at New York University School of Medicine, completed General Surgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery residency programs at New York University of Medical Center, a Cardiac and Thoracic Transplantation fellowship at Vanderbilt University, as well as a Thoracic Surgical Oncology fellowship at Harvard University, Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Dr. Schwartz is dedicated to a patient-centered approach and strives to care for each patient as if they were a member of his own family. As a surgeon, Dr. Schwartz feels privileged that he can impact the lives of his patients and their families, and be there to comfort them.

    All the doctors and nurses was very good about explaining everything about what he's going to have to go through. He has so many issues that he has to deal with if they just have to decide which ones comes first. But they are very good about telling us what comes first and what they think about what needs to be done and what can't be done. I would say we was very pleased.
