About Jennifer Hinman

Jennifer Hinman, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with experience delivering comprehensive care across family health clinics, surgical programs, corporate health, travel medicine, and long-term care settings. She currently provides medical management for patients in the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Program at OU Health, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to guide patients through complex surgical pathways and lifelong post-operative care. Her clinical scope includes acute and chronic disease management, preventive care, women's health, pediatrics and coordination with specialists across cardiology, neurology, oncology, and other disciplines.

She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Oklahoma City University, where she was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International, the National Honor Society of Nurses. Her doctoral capstone was published by the university—Enhancing Mental Healthcare for Rural Oklahoma Women. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the same institution.

Dr. Hinman has served in diverse roles including primary care provider for all ages, occupational health specialist, and geriatric care clinician. She is credentialed with Medicaid and Medicare and certified in DOT medical examinations, substance abuse testing, and audiometric evaluations. Her commitment to community health is reflected in her work with school wellness programs and rural outreach initiatives. She continues to advance patient care through collaboration, education, and evidence-based practice.
