I was asking questions because our primary physician told me differently and I was trying to make sure all my questions were addressed since we drove 4 hours to come see the urologist. He kept repeating everything was fine and I was trying to ask my questions to make sure everything was addressed and that I felt like I advocated for my 7 month old son. He answered in a condescending manner for example told me he was the best surgeon in Oklahoma and he was a penis expert. Maybe he is, but when it comes to my son and being sent by our primary care physician and driving 4 hours I would appreciate to feel at ease leaving the office as well as not to be talked to in a condescending way. I felt dismissed as well as like I was there for only cosmetic reasons which was not the case. I wanted to make sure all my questions were addressed for my child. He may be a "Penis Expert" but his bed side manner and patience was lacking. He has that bad name doctors get when their arrogant and rude. Maybe he would benefit fromA bedside manner course or learn from his nursing staff because they all seemed genuine!

The resident was very informative and was very conservative with treatment options. Not pushy about what to do. The Dr was a little more aggressive with options, but was ok that we didn't want to be that aggressive. The Dr was less informative, but I assumed it was because the resident had already been in to see us first.

As a provider you shouldn't tell a child that what pain or type of sensation he is describing is impossible. Have you ever thought that children often times can't find correct terms to describe pain and that pain is subjective. When a child is 8 and is able to tell you what is going on you should talk to the patient not talk down to them or totally disregard them. This was not our first urology experience but this is our first here at OU and I'm not impressed. Especially at a healthcare provider myself

Dr. Frimberger was very thorough in his assessment of my son's pain. He took the time to draw out and explain every detail of all available options. I appreciated his care and knew we were in the best hands.
