About Anwarul Haq

Dr. Anwarul Haq is an accomplished neurologist and clinical neurophysiologist. His main practice areas include headache medicine, vascular neurology, neuromuscular medicine, epilepsy, and neurophysiology. He has held multiple leadership roles, including medical director positions for headache and pain programs, and has served as a vascular neurologist and neuro-hospitalist. Dr. Haq is board certified in psychiatry and neurology, clinical neurophysiology, neuromuscular medicine, vascular neurology, headache medicine, and epilepsy. 

He earned his undergraduate degree from D J Science College and his Doctor of Medicine from Dow Medical College, University of Karachi. He completed residency training in neurology at UT Southwestern and fellowship training in neurophysiology at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Haq also completed postgraduate training with the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom.

As an associate professor in the Department of Neurology, Dr. Haq has contributed to medical education as a director of resident and student education, developed neurology curricula, and regularly teaches residents and medical students through lectures and bedside clinical training. He is a founding member of the board of directors at Peshawar Medical College and founding president of the Pakistan Headache Society. Dr. Haq is active in professional societies and has participated in national scientific meetings, published research, and delivered invited lectures on topics such as headache, stroke, and neurology.
