About Angela Pinkston

Angela Pinkston, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a family nurse practitioner who provides patient-centered care through a holistic, evidence-based approach. Based in Oklahoma City, Angela specializes in lung cancer screening and prevention at OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center. Clinical interests include low-dose CT lung cancer screening, pulmonary nodule evaluation, risk assessment, smoking cessation counseling, shared decision-making and improving access to screening services in underserved and high-risk populations. 

Angela earned a Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, from Maryville University after completing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Oklahoma Wesleyan University and an Associate of Science in Nursing from Connors State College. Additional education includes an Associate of Science in Accounting from Oklahoma State University. Angela is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and has more than 18 years of nursing experience, including more than eight years of advanced practice experience caring for patients with acute and chronic health conditions. 

Before joining OU Health, Angela provided advanced wound care services across Oklahoma, including in-home care and advanced treatment techniques for acute and chronic wounds. Angela has also cared for patients in primary care settings, managing chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, chronic kidney disease and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Throughout a career focused on compassionate, collaborative care, Angela has worked closely with interdisciplinary teams to support early disease detection, patient education and improved health outcomes.
