About Adanma Ayanambakkam
Dr. Adanma Ayanambakkam, MD, MS, is a genitourinary medical oncologist and physician-scientist based in Oklahoma City, where he provides specialized care at the Stephenson Cancer Center at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. His clinical practice focuses on prostate, bladder and kidney cancers, with an emphasis on precision oncology and biomarker-driven treatment strategies.
He earned his doctorate of medicine and completed his hematology and oncology residency and fellowship training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where he served as chief fellow. He later earned a Master of Science in clinical and translational science at the Hudson College of Public Health in Oklahoma City, graduating summa cum laude.
Ayanambakkam serves as director of genitourinary medical oncology research, associate program director of the hematology-oncology fellowship and medical director of the Stephenson Cancer Center Infusion Center. He is president of the Oklahoma Society of Clinical Oncology and represents the state nationally on the ASCO State Affiliate Council. He also contributes to national assessment efforts as a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine Medical Oncology Item-Writing Task Force and previously served on the ABIM Hematology Standard-Setting Panel. Outside of medicine, he is committed to mentorship, community engagement and expanding access to innovative cancer care across Oklahoma.
