Register Now for Bridges to Access 2021 COVID-19: Beyond Healthcare, February 13, 2021.

Bridges to Access is an annual student-led conference that brings together students, physicians, healthcare workers, and community members to identify the most pervasive current and future healthcare issues and inspire innovative solutions from the ground up. The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated structural socioeconomic and racial inequities that overwhelmingly affect minority populations. Bridges to Access 2021 will focus on identifying these issues and facilitate meaningful discussions on how we can achieve tangible solutions on behalf of our society. Our morning keynote speaker is Dr. Arline Geronimus from the University of Michigan School of Public Health, who originated the structurally-rooted biopsychosocial analytic framework “weathering.” Our afternoon keynote is Councilwoman Nikki Nice, who represents Ward 7 on the Oklahoma City Council and has worked tirelessly to combat structural racism in our community through advocacy and policy work. Featured speakers also include Dr. Jabraan Pasha, OU Health Physicians internal medicine provider in Tulsa, Oklahoma, as well as associate professor and assistant dean of student affairs at OU-TU School of Community Medicine.
