About Tasha Schellenberg
Tasha J. Schellenberg, OD, is an optometrist at OU Health Dean McGee Eye Institute who provides comprehensive primary eye care for patients of all ages, from children to older adults. She has special interests in comprehensive optometric care, glasses and contact lens services, and helping patients maintain lifelong vision and eye health through personalized, preventive care.
Dr. Schellenberg earned her bachelor's degree in biostatistics from Southwestern Adventist University in Keene, TX. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from Northeastern State University College of Optometry in Tahlequah, OK.
Prior to joining Dean McGee Eye Institute, Dr. Schellenberg served as an optometrist at General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, where she advanced to Assistant Chief of Optometry. She later served as Chief of the Optometry Department for the Indian Health Service in Clinton, Oklahoma. These leadership roles provided extensive experience in delivering comprehensive eye care to diverse patient populations.
Dr. Schellenberg is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care while helping educate future eye care professionals. She works closely with each patient to develop individualized treatment plans that support long-term eye health, clear vision, and an improved quality of life.
Her dedication to patient-centered care, combined with years of clinical and leadership experience, allows her to provide comprehensive eye care tailored to the unique needs of each patient and family.
