About Stephanie Pierce
Dr. Stephanie Pierce is an Assistant Professor of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She grew up in Tulsa, OK and went on to complete an OB/GYN residency at Case Western-MetroHealth and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio, followed by a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City. Her clinical and research interests include substance use disorders in pregnancy, as well as obesity and diabetes in pregnancy and their effects on the fetus and infant. Dr. Pierce is the medical director of the STAR (Substance use Treatment And Recovery) prenatal clinic at OUHSC and serves on the Oklahoma statewide Opioid Use Disorder in Pregnancy and Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome Prenatal Work Group. She is also the OB Medical Director for the Oklahoma Mothers and Newborns Affected by Opioids (OMNO) statewide initiative. Dr. Pierce is a member of the Harold Hamm Diabetes Center, where she enjoys collaborating with other clinicians and researchers to find new ways to improve pregnancy and health outcomes for mothers and their infants.[PSL(1] Outside of the hospital, she loves spending time with her family and exploring Oklahoma City’s fantastic restaurants and outdoor activities!
