About Scott Samples

Scott Samples, CPOT, is a contact lens specialist at OU Health Dean McGee Eye Institute with more than 25 years of experience in eye care, including nearly two decades dedicated to advanced contact lens fitting and management. His clinical expertise includes fitting specialty contact lenses for patients with keratoconus, corneal ectasia, irregular astigmatism, and other complex corneal conditions.

Scott is highly skilled in fitting a full range of contact lens designs, from traditional soft contact lenses to advanced specialty and scleral lenses. He works closely with patients and physicians to develop customized solutions that improve vision, comfort, and quality of life, particularly for individuals with challenging corneal conditions.

He earned an Associate of Science degree from Columbus State University and has achieved numerous advanced certifications in ophthalmic and contact lens care, including Certified Paraoptometric Technician (CPOT), Certified Contact Lens Technician (NCLE), National Contact Lens Examiners Master of Contact Lens Technology (NCLE-M), and Fellow of the Contact Lens Society of America (FCLSA). These credentials reflect his commitment to excellence and ongoing professional development in the field of contact lens technology.

Scott is passionate about sharing his expertise and helping patients achieve the best possible visual outcomes through innovative contact lens solutions and personalized care.

Originally from Georgia, Scott relocated to Oklahoma with his wife, Crystal. Together they have three children. Outside of work, he enjoys baseball, fishing, bird watching, and spending time with his family. He is also active in his church community.
