About Ramya Ramakrishnan
Dr. Ramya Ramakrishnan is a pediatric hematologist oncologist at Oklahoma Children's in Oklahoma City. She also serves as an assistant professor of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and is the director of the sickle cell diseases program. She completed her medical degree at Gandhi Medical College in India, and later completed a residency in pediatrics at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Al., and a fellowship in pediatric hematology oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
Board-certified in pediatrics, Dr. Ramakrishnan has specialized expertise in pediatric blood disorders and cancers, with clinical and research interests that include sickle cell disease, hemostasis and thrombosis, stem cell transplantation and novel immunotherapies for pediatric cancers. She is actively involved in medical education, quality improvement initiatives, and advancing care for children with hematologic and oncologic conditions.
