About Peyton Johnson

Dr. Peyton Johnson, D.O., is a pain medicine physician specializing in interventional pain medicine who treats patients with a wide range of chronic pain conditions, including cancer-related pain. Dr. Johnson earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine after completing his undergraduate studies. He completed a transitional year internship before undergoing residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation at NewYork-Presbyterian–Columbia and Weill Cornell Medicine in New York, where he also served as chief resident. He went on to complete fellowship training in interventional pain medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian–Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York, with advanced training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Hospital for Special Surgery. His fellowship experience included a strong emphasis on the management of cancer-related pain.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Johnson holds an academic appointment and is actively involved in medical education, research and mentorship. He has served as a curriculum developer and instructor in pain medicine and has contributed to peer-reviewed publications and national presentations. Prior to completing his graduate medical training, he served as a flight surgeon in the United States Navy, supporting military operations overseas. His commitment to caring for patients with cancer is informed by his personal experience as a childhood cancer survivor. Dr. Johnson continues to serve in academic and professional leadership roles while advancing the care of patients with complex pain conditions.
