Panayiotis Pelargos, M.D., M.S., serves as a neurosurgeon at OU Health and an assistant professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He specializes in advanced surgical neuro-oncology, with clinical expertise in brain and skull base tumors, minimally invasive neurosurgical techniques, and quality improvement in pituitary and skull base surgery. He earned his Doctor of Medicine with distinction in research from the University of California Irvine School of Medicine and completed a Master of Science in Biomedical and Translational Science at the same institution. Dr. Pelargos completed his neurological surgery residency training and a post-doctoral research fellowship in tumor genomics and molecular biology at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He further completed fellowship training in advanced surgical neuro-oncology at Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine. His academic background also includes a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California Los Angeles and foundational studies at Los Angeles Valley College.

As an assistant professor, Dr. Pelargos is actively involved in academic seminars, grand rounds, and resident education conferences.
