About Nicholas Sader
Nicholas Sader, MD, MSc, FRCSC, FAANS, is a pediatric neurosurgeon at Oklahoma Children’s OU Health. He specializes in craniosynostosis, Chiari malformations, concussion, and other complex neurosurgical conditions affecting children. He also leads the OU Adult Chiari Clinic and co-leads Oklahoma’s first designated multidisciplinary pediatric concussion clinic, which provides coordinated care for children and adolescents with persistent or complex concussion symptoms.
Dr. Sader earned both his Bachelor of Science and medical degree from the University of Manitoba. He completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Calgary, followed by fellowship training in pediatric neurosurgery at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, University of Southern California.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Sader holds a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Calgary, where his research focused on pediatric concussion through the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Clinical Investigator Program. His academic interests include improving outcomes for children with craniosynostosis, Chiari malformations, and concussion. He is actively involved in clinical research and serves as a principal investigator for several initiatives, including the University of Oklahoma’s participation in the Synostosis Research Group and the Chiari Surgical Success Scale study. He also serves on the Scientific, Educational, and Advisory Board of the Bobby Jones Chiari & Syringomyelia Foundation.
Outside the hospital, Dr. Sader enjoys weightlifting, running, tennis, and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs. He especially enjoys spending time with his wife, Mackenzie, their two children, and their two dogs.
