About Maxwell Mathias

Maxwell M. Mathias, MD, is a neonatologist with Oklahoma Children's Hospital OU Health, home to a level IV NICU. 

Dr. Mathias graduated Magna cum laude from Brown University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with Honors. He earned his medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, New York. He completed a residency in pediatrics with the Icahn School of Medicine at Kravis Children's Hospital in New York, New York and a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine with Northwestern University at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. 

Dr. Mathias is an active physician-scientist whose research focuses on prevention and mitigation of bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) and BPD-associated pulmonary hypertension in newborns.
