About Mariah Honse

Mariah Honse, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant who specializes in neurosurgical and spine care in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As a surgical physician assistant, Honse conducts preoperative evaluations, provides patient education, assists with diagnosis and surgical planning through interpretation of spine imaging, and participates in surgical procedures and postoperative care. Clinical interests include neurosurgery, spine conditions and comprehensive surgical patient management. 

Honse earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas, and a Master of Health Science Physician Associate degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Clinical training included rotations in emergency medicine, family medicine, psychiatry, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, internal medicine, neonatology, neurosurgery and cardiology, providing a broad foundation in patient care across multiple specialties. 

Before becoming a physician assistant, Honse worked as a certified surgical technologist in Kansas, assisting with ophthalmology, orthopedic, podiatry, general surgery, ear, nose and throat, endoscopic, urologic, obstetric and gynecologic, and plastic surgery procedures. This experience contributes to a strong understanding of surgical workflows and team-based patient care. Honse currently serves patients through a neurosurgical practice in Oklahoma City.
