About Lyric Haxton
Lyric Haxton, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker practicing in Edmond, Oklahoma. She currently serves as a Behavioral Health Consultant at OU Health, Fountain Lake Family Medicine. In this role, she provides therapeutic services to patients referred by primary care physicians, collaborating closely with them to ensure comprehensive care.
Lyric earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK, graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA in May 2020. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Family Life Education, Marriage and Family, with minors in Psychology and Human Environmental Science from the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, OK, where she graduated cum laude in May 2018. Additionally, she completed her Associate of Arts in Psychology at Redlands Community College in El Reno, OK, graduating summa cum laude in May 2015.
Beyond her clinical work, Lyric has been actively involved in various leadership and training roles. She has participated in the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse audit committee for quality assurance and compliance, and has been instrumental in standardizing mental health documentation forms. Lyric also serves as a field instructor for practicum students in their Master of Social Work program and provides internal supervision for LMSWs working towards their clinical licensure. In her free time, she enjoys engaging in community volunteering and spending time with her family
