About Laurie Hahn-Parrott
Laurie A. Hahn-Parrott, CO, COT, MBA, is an orthoptist at OU Health Dean McGee Eye Institute specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of amblyopia (lazy eye) and other pediatric vision disorders. She works closely with pediatric ophthalmologists to evaluate and manage eye movement disorders, binocular vision problems, and conditions affecting visual development in children.
Before joining Dean McGee Eye Institute, Hahn-Parrott served in the divisions of ophthalmology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and Children's Hospital Colorado, where she gained extensive experience caring for children with complex ophthalmic conditions. Her clinical expertise and commitment to excellence have made her a respected leader in the field of orthoptics.
Hahn-Parrott holds degrees from the College of Charleston and the Medical University of South Carolina. She is actively involved in professional organizations, including the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is a past president of the American Association of Certified Orthoptists, serves as a member of the American Orthoptic Council, and has been recognized with the American Association of Certified Orthoptists Honor Certificate.
In addition to her clinical work, Hahn-Parrott has participated in research through the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group (PEDIG), contributing to advancements in the treatment of pediatric eye disorders.
Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, gardening, fishing, and knitting.
