About Kristin Anderson
Kristin A. Anderson, CO, is an orthoptist at OU Health Dean McGee Eye Institute with more than 30 years of experience in clinical ophthalmology. She specializes in the diagnosis and management of amblyopia (lazy eye), double vision, and eye misalignment disorders in both children and adults. Her expertise helps patients improve visual function, eye alignment, and quality of life through personalized, team-based care.
Kristin began her career as a certified ophthalmic medical technologist and service coordinator at the Louisiana State University Eye Center in New Orleans before continuing her work at the Doheny Eye Institute at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. She later spent 20 years as an orthoptist at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where she developed extensive experience caring for patients with complex pediatric and adult eye movement disorders.
A graduate of the University of Florida, Kristin has participated in research through the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group (PEDIG), contributing to advancements in the treatment of pediatric vision disorders. She is passionate about helping patients achieve their best possible visual outcomes through compassionate, individualized care.
At Dean McGee Eye Institute, Kristin works closely with ophthalmologists and eye care professionals to evaluate and treat a wide range of binocular vision and eye alignment conditions. She is dedicated to supporting patients and families throughout their treatment journey.
Outside of work, Kristin enjoys spending time in nature, hiking, walking, reading, knitting, creating music, and visiting family. She also enjoys kayaking and hopes to become an herb gardener.
