About Jila Noori
Jila Noori, MD, is a uveitis and retina specialist at OU Health Dean McGee Eye Institute who cares for both adult and pediatric patients with inflammatory and retinal eye diseases. Her clinical interests include infectious and non-infectious uveitis, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and other complex retinal and macular disorders.
Dr. Noori earned her medical degree and completed her ophthalmology residency and vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Iran. After practicing as a comprehensive ophthalmologist and serving on the retinal faculty at Farabi Eye Hospital, she pursued advanced subspecialty training in the United States and Canada. She completed a retina research fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh, followed by fellowships in medical retina and uveitis at the renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami.
As the Robert and Nancy Ellis Endowed Professor of Ophthalmology and a Clinical Assistant Professor, Dr. Noori combines advanced clinical expertise with a strong commitment to research and education. She has participated in multiple clinical trials focused on uveitis and retinal disease and has contributed to research involving retinal imaging, retinal vasculitis, autoimmune retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, and ocular inflammation.
Dr. Noori is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. Her research has been recognized with several national awards, including honors for her work in ocular imaging and whole-eye transplantation research.
Dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized care, Dr. Noori works closely with patients and families to manage complex eye conditions and preserve vision using the latest medical therapies and evidence-based treatment approaches.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Noori values time with her family and is proud to be part of a family with a shared commitment to medicine, with siblings practicing or training as physicians in North America.
