About Jamie Hur

Jamie Yoonjoung Hur, D.O., is a medical oncologist with OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center in Oklahoma City, where Dr. Hur serves as an assistant professor in gastrointestinal medical oncology. Dr. Hur provides comprehensive care for patients with gastrointestinal cancers, including guideline-directed systemic therapies and access to investigational treatments through clinical trials. Clinical interests include gastrointestinal oncology, early-phase clinical research and multidisciplinary cancer care, and Dr. Hur participates in coordinated treatment planning as a member of a rectal cancer multidisciplinary team. 

Dr. Hur earned a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Residency training in internal medicine, including service as chief intern, was completed at PCOM/Mercy Suburban General Hospital in East Norriton, Pennsylvania. Dr. Hur then completed fellowship training in hematology and oncology at the National Institutes of Health, including the National Cancer Institute and the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Hur is board certified in internal medicine and oncology. 

Before joining OU Health, Dr. Hur held research and clinical roles at the National Institutes of Health, contributing to studies in cellular immunotherapy, hematologic malignancies, thoracic oncology and gastrointestinal cancers. Research interests focus on clinical trials, translational oncology and the development of emerging cancer therapies. Dr. Hur has authored peer-reviewed publications, presented research at national scientific meetings and is an active member of leading professional organizations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology.
