The dr never examined me. Never felt my neck to check for enlarged lymph nodes, how I was swallowing or anything. She had notes from previous Endo & knew it had been 2 years since I had been seen. She never once asked how I had been feeling, any changes in my weight or health in the past 2 years or anything else. There was absolutely no concern for how I was doing. Any question I had would be answered with "it's not a concern since you don't have a thyroid" or "it's not an issue bc you take thyroid meds to simulate having a thyroid" with absolutely no follow up questions or concern. I drove 5 hours ONE WAY for the appointment and she didn't do a single thing that couldn't have been through telemed. It was extremely discouraging to be dismissed like that.

She was very clear & helpful with her explanations. She had also clearly already familiarized herself with my history (it is complex) and that was very welcome & a big relief as I have to tell my medical history too often & I dread new pt appts because of that. I truly appreciated her expertise & professionalism. I can see where some might find her rather distant or "cold" but I found her respectful & business like which is fine w/ me as long as she's a smart SCIENTIST & medical prof. She doesn't need to be my best friend.
