About Himanshu Bhardwaj

Dr. Himanshu Bhardwaj is a OU Health pulmonologist and Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. With a specialized focus on pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine, Dr. Bhardwaj plays a pivotal role in patient care and medical education. His clinical services include attending physician roles at the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Clinic and Pulmonary Consultation Services at both the VA Medical Center and OU Medical Center.

Dr. Bhardwaj earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Indira Gandhi Medical College in Shimla, India. He completed his internship, residency, and fellowship training at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. His postgraduate education included a fellowship in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine, and he served as a resident and intern in Internal Medicine.

Beyond his clinical and teaching responsibilities, Dr. Bhardwaj has held numerous leadership roles, including Director of the Chest Medicine Clinic at both OU Medical Center and the VA Medical Center. He is an active member of several professional organizations, such as the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Thoracic Society. Outside of his professional life, Dr. Bhardwaj enjoys participating in community health initiatives and mentoring future healthcare professionals. His dedication to medicine and patient care is matched by his commitment to academic excellence and community service.
