About Dionna Weixel

Dionna Weixel, M.S., is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with the Center on Child Abuse and Neglect at OU Health in Oklahoma City. Ms. Weixel received her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Her clinical work focuses on providing evidence-based interventions for children with problematic sexual behaviors, disruptive behavior disorders, and trauma-related disorders. Ms. Weixel is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, an evidence-based treatment for children and adolescents who are experiencing trauma symptoms and their caregivers, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, an evidence-based treatment for young children exhibiting disruptive behaviors, and Problematic Sexual Behavior-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for school-age and preschool children.

Ms. Weixel serves as the liaison to Child Abuse Response and Evaluation (CARE) Center, the child advocacy center serving Oklahoma County. She facilitates receipt of referrals from the CARE Center to treatment programs at CCAN, and provides crisis management services to families impacted by problematic sexual behavior of youth and trauma served by the CARE Center.
