About Christine Beeson

Christine Beeson, DO, FAAP, is a dedicated Child Abuse Pediatrician practicing in Tulsa, Oklahoma. As an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, she specializes in providing care and advocacy for children who have experienced abuse. Dr. Beeson is passionate about giving children a voice and using her medical expertise to support their well-being. She currently serves as a Pediatric Hospitalist at Cherokee Nation W.W. Hastings Hospital in Tahlequah, OK, and has extensive experience working in various pediatric settings, including Saint Francis Hospital and the Fostering Hope Clinic of Tulsa.

Dr. Beeson earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor in Medical Humanities from The University of Oklahoma, graduating summa cum laude. She then pursued her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following medical school, she completed her General Pediatric Residency at the Osteopathic Medical Education Consortium of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University, in Tulsa, OK. Dr. Beeson further specialized by completing a fellowship in Child Abuse Pediatrics at the University of Oklahoma/University of Tulsa School of Community Medicine.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Beeson is actively involved in research and education. Her research interests include the coexistence of intimate partner violence and child abuse, as well as identifying child abuse mimics. She has presented her findings at numerous conferences and has published several peer-reviewed articles. Dr. Beeson is also committed to teaching and mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals, serving as a lecturer and simulation instructor for medical students and residents. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time with her family, running marathons, and supporting her daughters in their various activities. Dr. Beeson is an avid reader and a strong advocate for community engagement and support.
