About Annie Moreau
Annie Moreau, MD, OD, is an ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgeon at OU Health Dean McGee Eye Institute who specializes in the surgical and medical management of conditions affecting the eyelids, tear drainage system, orbit, and surrounding facial structures. Her unique background as both an optometrist and ophthalmologist provides her with a comprehensive perspective on patient care and vision health.
A native of Québec, Canada, Dr. Moreau earned undergraduate and optometry degrees before practicing as an optometrist for eight years. During that time, she cared for patients at the Carl Albert Indian Health Facility in Ada, Oklahoma, and the Oklahoma City Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She later pursued a medical degree at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
After completing an internship in general surgery, Dr. Moreau completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Oklahoma and the Dean McGee Eye Institute, followed by fellowship training in oculoplastic surgery and neuro-ophthalmology. Her dedication to education and mentorship was recognized with the Acers Resident Honor Award in 2009 and a special Resident Education Award in 2011, which was later named in her honor.
As a Clinical Assistant Professor in the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, Dr. Moreau is committed to providing exceptional patient care while helping educate future generations of eye care professionals. She combines advanced surgical expertise with a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Moreau enjoys music and remains proud of her Canadian roots while serving patients across Oklahoma.
