About Anne Acers-Warn
Ann Acers-Warn, MD, MBA is an ophthalmologist at OU Health Dean McGee Eye Institute, specializing in cataract and lens implant surgery, including advanced and premium cataract procedures. She is dedicated to helping patients achieve clearer vision through personalized care and the latest surgical techniques.
Dr. Acers-Warn earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Baylor University and her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the Dean McGee Eye Institute at the University of Oklahoma, where she received extensive training in medical and surgical eye care. She also holds a Master of Business Administration from Cameron University.
A respected leader in ophthalmology, Dr. Acers-Warn has held numerous national and state leadership roles. She currently serves as Director Emeritus of the American Board of Ophthalmology and was recognized as a 2026 Journal Record Health Care Hero. Her past leadership roles include Chair of the American Board of Ophthalmology, President of the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision, and President of the Oklahoma State Board of Health. She has also served in leadership positions with the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Oklahoma Academy of Ophthalmology.
In recognition of her contributions to the field, Dr. Acers-Warn has received the American Academy of Ophthalmology Senior Achievement Award and the Oklahoma Academy of Ophthalmology Distinguished Service Award.
She remains actively engaged in the community, including service on the Great Plains Technology Center Foundation Board, supporting initiatives that advance healthcare and education across Oklahoma.
