About Amy Costner-Lark
Dr. Amy Costner-Lark is an Adjunct Clinical Professor at OU College of Medicine. She is also an Assistant Professor and the program director for the Doctor of Nursing Practice program at The Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. She is a BSN alumna of the University of Oklahoma and went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing Degree in nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Vanderbilt University. In 2012, she earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Her area of research was focused on health literacy in heart transplant recipients. She is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner and has practiced in a variety of settings including internal medicine, cardiology, heart transplant and neurology. Throughout her years of teaching, she has always maintained her clinical practice and values patient care. From the early parts of her career, Amy has always enjoyed working with the geriatric population and enjoys developing relationships with patients who have many years of wisdom to share. She is a member of National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculty, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Association of Oklahoma Nurse Practitioners.
