About Ami Bax

Ami Bax, MD, is a Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician with the Child Study Center at OU Health in Oklahoma City. Dr. Bax serves as the medical director for the Child Study Center and directs the JumpStart Autism and Developmental Delay Evaluation Clinic. Her work primarily focuses on providing diagnostic care and treatment for children with ADHD, autism, fetal alcohol spectrum disorders, developmental delays and other behavioral health problems. 

Dr. Bax is the section chief for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics for the OU College of Medicine Department of Pediatrics.

She earned her medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine School of Community Medicine in Tulsa. She also has a Master’s in Clinical and Translational Science from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City 

Dr. Bax is a member of the Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics Research Network Steering Committee, Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is an Oklahoma Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Fellow and serves as the LEND Program Co-Director.
